![]() ![]() Finally, a small, two channel, bedroom-friendly all-valve amp that you can legitimately gig! In the same way that guitarists – no matter how good they may be – can always learn new skills and improve, we will also continue with our search for perfection.Ĭapable of 0.5, 1, 7 or 15 Watts of output the Rocker 15 is an extremely portable combo that moves seamlessly from the home, to the studio, to the stage. ![]() The ‘Orange Sound‘ didn’t just happen, it has taken many years to perfect and fine tune. It’s about how the sound is perceived – something that I have always thought of as ‘the sound of the sound‘… it’s about the physical pleasure that the sound of an amp gives a guitarist as he plays. However, it’s not just about transformers, valves and circuit design. To reach these achievements, we spent years studying, experimenting and testing in order to improve on the best. Our latest amplifier designs still reflect this approach, and I am especially pleased with recent innovations made by Orange in the field of transformer design. Since I founded Orange back in 1968, I have always believed that no other company could have cared more than us about innovation in guitar valve amplifier design and sound technology. Our highly-transparent, all-valve design makes sure your signal path gets nothing but the best treatment, no matter how complex your pedal setup. No modern amp would be complete without a great FX Loop. Whether you’re looking for hi-fi, modern tones or cranking out retro crunch, feel and dynamics are always retained – at any volume. With four EL84 valves and our famously heavy-duty proprietary transformers, the TH30’s punchy and efficient 30 Watt power amp can also be switched down to 15 or 7 Watts (using the 4 Valve/2 Valve switch and Full/Half Power modes). This channel works flawlessly with the EL84 power section to offer a great selection of more vintage tones. The non-master volume Clean channel is a 2-stage design with a 2-band EQ, delivering sweet, crystalline cleans right up to the point of breakup, and classic crunch when pushed over the top. This channel remains unerringly focussed, steeped in complex harmonic overtones even at maximum gain settings. Sweeping the midrange from scooped to boosted, this all-in-one control makes fine-tuning your distorted tones easier than ever before. The Dirty channel features four carefully-crafted stages of gain and the same powerful Shape control first seen on our Thunderverb series. Since I live in a house it doesn't need to be on TV volume, I can play it louder.Video can’t be loaded because JavaScript is disabled: Orange Amps TH30 – Steve Cook and Jeff Smith Demo () TWIN CHANNEL, HIGH GAIN PREAMP So let me know your opinion about the amp and if it is suitable for bedroom practice. I will add an OD or a tubescreamer to even tighten things more if needed. Was thinking about the Hughes&Kettner tubemeister 20/40, but not sure, and just came by the Orange TH30 combo and what I've heard on youtube so far sounds pretty damn good for both modern high gain metal and not only. I'm a bedroom warrior, but there is a chance to rehearse with a drummer, so I need something that will do great for house/bedroom playing and rehearsals/eventually small gigs.īy now I tried the Engl Fireball 25, but didn't like it at all. Since a few months I'm on the market for a simple, yet effective high gain metal monster and rock'n'roll amp with nice cleans (be it head+cab or combo I don't care). I've got a question to the owners of the abovementioned combo - I can buy one second hand for a pretty nice price. ![]()
